Adventures in Homeschooling

Homeschool.  According to the online free Miriam Webster definition home school is “to teach school subjects to one’s children at home”  I’m not so sure I agree with that, but that’s another post…

We are a homeschooling family, with me, Mom being the main teacher.  I get to teach the basics ,the not so fun to learn things, like spelling and math. And Dad, the principle of sorts, gets to teach the fun subjects, like woodworking, crazy science experiments and such. all the while mixing in love, respect and honor.

We work around the kitchen table most days but you will soon find out we are not tied to it.. We might be found finishing a lesson on the trampoline, in the living room floor under a tent, or at the farmers market.

It’s not all easy or fun, but we love it. And it works for us.  Life is about learning, not just the 12 or so grades of school.

This page is all about our ups and downs of homeschooling.  It’s ok to laugh with us, and cry with us as we agonize over math facts… Love and support are always welcome.

And I would LOVE to hear of your homeschool experience.
